I’m Jennifer Keefe, self-taught home baker and founder of From Scratch. We’re a boutique North Shore bakery featuring decadent specialty cakes, desserts, sweets and more. All of our items are made by hand—in small batches—to deliver an indulgent homemade experience found nowhere else.
Here’s My Story
I come from a long line of family members with a culinary background (and I even married a chef!). Baking with my parents and grandmothers from an early age, I grew up around the most amazing food. My family always encouraged me to make everything "from scratch" and be creative with recipes.
Today, my bakery uses these same techniques and recipes practiced and perfected over nearly 30 years. From exquisitely designed cakes to moist and luscious pastries, every confection we make starts with the very best ingredients. My team and I are passionate about quality--and about supporting the small-business community. Our cake decorations and colorings are sourced from other small ventures across the country, most of them also women-owned.
